In the very centre of the Kamchatka Peninsula there is a unique reserve area “Kamchatka Switzerland” registered as a UNESCO World Nature Heritage site. A variety of recreational activities like skiing and snowmobile riding, traditional sled dog racing, contrast snow therapy (snow massage + thermal bath) continue up until mid-June. Here you will be able to view unique ritual equipment of native shamans, original cultural objects of the Evens - indigenous population of Kamchatka. The heart of this wonderful place is the folk village of Esso. Stoves are not in use for home heating, hot water is provided to houses by the generous mother nature. In the centre of the village is a huge open pool in which you can enjoy yourself contemplating the snow-clad slopes of the mountains and breathing in crystal clear air. Departure by motor vehicle towards the central Kamchatka – visit to Esso which is a village with indigenous population, dinner en route, arrival, accommodation in a small home based hotel complete with all conveniences, thermal spring bathing. Day 3. Horse ride in the environs of Esso village, visit to the workshop of the bone craftsmen, story about Kamchatka bears, learning bone carving craftsmanship, souvenirs, bathing in thermal springs. During New Year party and other festive occasions additional preparations are required for that day: Preparations for the official part. Nighttime – New Year celebration by time zones in a thermal water pool, game to be served for the festive table, Kamchatka sea food specialties (crabs, mollusks), presentations by persons in charge, free-swinging masquerade, snow games, firework. Day 4. Excursion to the traditional village of the indigenous inhabitants of Kamchatka, introduction to the culture and way of living of national minorities. Day 5. Sledding, excursion to the national ethnographic museum at Esso, thermal spring bathing. Day 6. Return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky City by motor vehicle, hotel accommodation. Day 7. Snowmobile excursion to the foot of the Avachin (2.741 m) and Koryak (3.456 m) volcanoes, climbing the Verblud (Camel) Mountain (1.214 m), return to the city. Day 8. Departure for the dedicated kennel of sledge dogs by motor vehicle, dog driving at the foot of the Kozel Volcano, return to the city, overnight stay at the hotel. Day 9. Optional helicopter excursion the Valley of Geysers as part of the combined group of 22 persons (en route – view of the erupting Karym volcano, flying around the crater of the Malyi Semyachik with an acid lake inside the crater of the Malyi Semyachik Volcano). Excursion to the Valley of Geysers, viewing of 18 active geysers and mud pools, observation of the flowing geysers (excursion price – approx. € 800 per person).
