There is a certain generic quality about their buildings, transport systems, clothes. You have to look much closer to discern the subtle differences between cities today, and for travellers only visiting for a few days, it can be missed altogether. Seeing beautiful natural sights in a foreign country is a truly unique experience. You can’t get more “local” than the landscape! And unlike the frequent over-stimulation and relentless pulse of the city (which is fun sometimes), being in nature can really energise and rejuvenate the traveller.
