Throughout the resort, the 24-month renovation upgraded and modernized all facilities. Decor in the 17 villas is all-new, and their best features—expansive oceanfront decks with infinity-edge pools and hot tubs—have been redone. In the rooms, air-conditioning,
televisions, Internet connection speeds, and minibars are now cutting-edge. Golf carts and watercraft are new, too, and more fuel-efficient. The marina was refitted with new equipment and public spaces for guests, including the Yacht Club, the Anse Bamboo Beach Bar, and a treehouse dining room. On one of the island’s seven white-sand beaches is a new kid’s club. The new head chef refocused the menus at Fregate’s restaurants and bars on ingredients grown on-island. Members among the staff of 150 can serve items from those menus, plus BBQ, sashimi picnics, and high tea—on the beach, by sea, or pretty much whereever you wish.
